When it comes to canine obedience and behaviour modification I understand that every dog is different. This means each dog learns differently and at a unique pace. I am well educated in all training methods and will modify my methods to fit you and your dogs needs. During training keeping both you and your dog stress free is most important thing. I aim make all my training sessions fun and enjoyable for both dog and human as this is the best way to learn. If your dog suffers from extreme behavioural problems that have labelled your dog dangerous, not a problem. I will not take on a dog I am not confident I can help. If I my self am unable to help you I will personally help you find another trainer who can.

Training Assessment session

Assessment Session £60 (1-2 hour)

Booking an assessment before either a behavioural or obedience session, will save you time and money in the first session. If you do not book an assessment and want to immediately start training, the first session will be mostly assessment and talking rather than hands on training.

This session is in 3 parts. First, we sit down and talk all about your dog. What needs improving, what you want them to learn, what your goals are, what’s going wrong, daily routine, feeding habits, exercise routine, etc. Second, I need to see your dog displaying these difficulties. We go for a short 5-10 min walk so I can assess the dogs behaviour and obedience level while out and about. Thirdly, we have another sit down to chat about what I feel is going wrong between you and your dog and why they are displaying these problems. We will then talk over a rough training plan and discuss how I feel best to teach the dog and yourself to get the results you want. Your dog, your choice, I do not dictate exactly how we will train your dog. Both dog and owner need to feel confident about the training and I do my best to fit my training around your desires. If I can not I will in detail explain why this is not possible. This session will also give you the chance to ask any questions you might have and I am always willing to help debunk common myths about dogs and how to train them. Finally at the end of the session, I will give you some things to change and start working on to give you the best start to training as possible. This session does not include any hands-on training.

Every dog and owner is very different, I must see the problems at hand and know your goals before we start training. This way I can plan the most efficient way to help you.

Behaviour Modification Training

For dogs with a behavioural problem. Excessive barking, aggression, resource guarding, destroying the house, reactivity, settle work, separation anxiety.

Whatever the struggle is with your dog I do my best to help you understand the dog and how to help them have the best possible life with you.

I highly reccomend 2-4 sessions for these behavioural problems.

Individual Session £80-120 (2+ hours)

For those who want to only book 1 session at a time to help with behavioural problems such as, reactivity, separation anxiety, resource guarding and aggression.

Obedience Training

Individual Session £50-80 (1+ hours)

For those who want to only book 1 session at a time to learn how to build a better relationship with their dog, build confidence or simple teach more control and obedience.

Pre-Puppy Training

Pre-Puppy Session £80

This session is a sit down chat to prepare you and your house hold for your new puppy. This is a very useful session if this is your first puppy, or you want your pup to have the best start with you. We will go over basic training in theory, toilet training, crate training, leash manners, recall and obediences, like sit. I will be able to answer any questions you might have about puppies and how to raise them and most importantly I will walk you through the truth about socialisation and debunk the common myths.

If you are local to me I also offer cheaper short sessions to help socialise your pup correctly using my trained, calm and perfectly socialised own dogs.

Puppy Training

Puppy Sessions £30-100

Puppy sessions cover everything from introducing your new puppy to current dogs and family members straight after collecting your puppy, first impressions really do matter, to extensive private sessions to help you understand every part of raising your pup to be a good dog.

Social sessions

social sessions £40-60

These sessions are all about you and your dog learning how to read and react to canine body language in social situations.

Residential Training

Residential Training £40-100 a day

Travel Cost

£0.50p per mile, after 5 collective miles round trip from Bearpark, Durham + £12 per hour.
